Our partner is operating a fleet of 21m & 26m crew transfer vessels.

We are looking for a marine engineer who can travel between vessels, situated throughout Europe, assisting the on-board crew in maintaining the vessels and rectifying outstanding defects.

Duties will include;
Managing the defects throughout the fleet and reporting to management
Training and assisting new and existing crew with good maintenance
Maintaining and repairing all aspects of the vessel, with the assistance of the vessel’s crew
Attending and managing service agent callouts
Attending and managing dry docking
Sourcing required spare parts with the assistance of the purchasing manager

Qualifications/Experience should include:-
5-10 years marine engineering experience
STCW95 certified (ideal but not essential)
Full driving license
Solid knowledge of:-
Marine Engines, gensets, fuel and controls systems
3-phase 415V & 24V electrical systems
Air-conditioning systems

We envisage this role as 14 days on, 14 days off; (2 days in the office, 10 days in the field, 2 days in the office) – rota, however a spell sailing on the vessel to start with would be required/beneficial.

The salary would be on a day rate basis and dependent on experience. This position could be filled by a self-employed professional.
