This course contains practical and theory sections in proportion of 35:65. The Aim of the course is delegates will learn and demonstrate to a prescribed level of competence all aspects of :
- Operate Life-saving appliances, take charge after launch;
- Operate Survival Craft engine;
- Manage Survivors;
- Correct use of all locating devices, communication;
- Apply first aid to survivors.
Course overview:
This course is part of the training for all seafarers who wish to qualify for a Certificate of Competency. It covers basic as: Introduction to Safety; Abandon ship; Survival Craft and Rescue Boat; Launching arrangements; Engines and accessories; Handling of LSA, Helicopter rescue; Drills. Based on STCW Convention and Code requirements Chapter VI.
