This course meets STCW Regulation VI/2-1, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats. Course is open to all seafarers who are designated to take charge of different types of survival craft.

After successful completion of the course, the trainees will be competent to handle and take charge of such boats during or after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions and to operate.
