The course“Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat” meets the mandatory minimum requirements stated in the STCW Code. The course “Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat” provides the training for candidates to launch and take charge of a fast rescue boat. The course “Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boat” is carried out with assistance of IMO-model Course 1.24 - Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats.

Trainees will be able to handle and take charge of such boats during or after launch in adverse weather and sea conditions, operate fast rescue boat engines, carry out search patterns and the correct use of all locating devices including communication and signaling equipment between the rescue boat, helicopter and ship.
