This course contains practical and theory sections in proportion of 35:65. The Aim of the course is delegates will learn and demonstrate to a prescribed level of competence all aspects of :
- Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities (IMO model 1.21),
- Proficiency in Personal Survival Techniques (IMO model 1.19),
- Elementary First Aid (IMO model 1.13),
- Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting (IMO model 1.20)
Course overview:
This course is part of the essential training for all seafarers who wish to qualify for a Certificate of Competency. It covers basic as: Emergency procedures; Pollution prevention; Safe working practice; Human relationships; Personal survival techniques including abandonment; Fire prevention and Firefighting; Medical emergency. Based on STCW Convention and Code requirements Chapter VI.
