This module course include:

• Appreciation of emergency situations that may arise at sea.

• Understand the types of personal and life saving appliances normally carried onboard ships

• Survival at sea techniques to include actions to be taken when abandoning ship, when in the water and when aboard a survival craft.

• Competence and practical demonstration required at:
- Donning a life jacket and immersion suit
- Safely jump from a height
- Methods of boarding and operating a survival craft
